BABY HAZEL'S BATHTIME

One of my favorite things in the whole world is a baby in the bath, especially in the kitchen sink. There is something so innocent and renewing to see a tiny hand all covered in bubbles, the joy on the little pink face, and a big grandpa hand there to "watch their back." Hazel is especially cute in the bath because she likes the bubbles in her face. And she is so chubby that you just want to pick her up and bite her all over.

Arizona Visit to Brittany's Family 4/20.2010

I had such a good time with Brittany and her little family. The weather was perfect. The food was delicious. The company was superb. And the children were absolutely great. I love them more and more every time I go. Brittany got me hooked on the Harry Potter audio books. We listened to them for hours. I loved being with her. She ALWAYS can make me laugh.

Little Sabrina Belle has turned into such a beauty. She is always moving, like Emme. And I bet I told her the story of Peter Rabbit fifty times. She kept saying, "tell me the rest of the story." She is so funny. She says the funniest things, and unexpected. She is a climber and still steals Reagan's binky. But she doesn't seem to obsessed with it. She is more obsessed in getting into things...like the oven and the top of the fridge. She loves her sisters and brother and she is going to be the pro at wrestling.
I know Reagan looks fed up with talking on the phone but he says so many words now. He loves cookies, and is so brave about getting his toe poked and his insulin injections. I can't believe him. I love the way he runs looking down at the ground and then biffs it. I got lots of kisses and e-as from him. He sure loves his mama.

I told you she could climb. There is nothing she can't scale. I love her lips and hair.

Every Friday Night the kids get out their sleeping bags and popcorn and have a movie night. They are so good. They appreciate every little thing. And they are great helpers. Jessie is a cleaning machine and can read so well...big words....like, America, princesses and reads every day. She is amazing. I am so proud of her.

Jessie and Katrina are best friends. They wrestle like crazy and Jessie says, "I am going to take Katrina down." And then she does. But Katrina is getting the hang of it. Katrina said to me, "Granma, you need a new shirt because yours shows your chest." Thanks, Katrina!

Easter 2010 with the Wallick grandchildren!!!!!

Easter was on a cold day this year. But you wouldn't know by these faces. As usual Beth and Bob showed up with hundreds of eggs to hide....and we provided these cute kids to find them. From left to right: Hazel, being held by Azlan, Payton, Taylor holding Lila, Roman holding Bobby J, Noah holding Emme, Bryton and Mason. I am blessed.
Emme with a full basket. Look at that dress. She looks so beautiful.

Noah, Bryton, Payton and Taylor waiting for the eggs to be hidden. Typical boy is Noah!

Natalie holding my little monkey, Lila, at the dance competition in St. George. Hazel and Emme coming on for the ride. What a beautiful day. We had a great time!

FROM BASEBALL TO BIRTHDAYS

Two little tired girls watching "Enchanted" at grammas house. We had such a fun day with Natalie and the girls for Natalie birthday dinner. We made spare ribs, pilaf, potatoes, and "fridge cake with strawberries." Forget the salad, it was a birthday dinner.

Hazels little feet in Neil's big hand. What a contrast. Notice that her ankles are not that defined. I love her fat rolls.

Hazel on our rocking horse. I don't know how many children have ridden on this horse, but it was surely worth the money. She would keep bending over to bite it. My kind of girl!
We went to St. George to see Noah's baseball tournament this last weekend. What a great time we had. He played so well, and it was fun to be with Brandon, Noah and My brown-eyed girl, Taylor. We went to so many games, but did manage to fit in a trip to the bookstore. Of course!

SCOUT'S TEA PARTY

Happy Birthday to Scout on her third birthday. We're in a party mood!
The cools dudes and princesses lining up to frost their cupcakes. Scout just sucked the frosting right out of the container. Aren't they cute in a row?

Scout had a tea party at the cupcake bakery for her third birthday. The girls dressed as princesses and Lila, Scout and Emme had a princess hug before the party. Aren't they beautiful princesses.

Inside the bakery they were getting ready to scope out the bakery and try some of the goodies.

Atticus gives Scout a birthday kiss. She did not resist today. He and Bobby J didn't want to have pictures taken with the girls. They were just too cool.

After frosting and decorating their own cupcakes, Scout blows out her birthday candle. When we sang to her she put her head down, but perked right up when it was time to blow out the candle.

A FEW MORE PICS

Do legs get any better than this? Note the bandaid from her shot! And I love the ankles!
My big boys, Roman and Mason came for a sleepover. They were so much fun.

Emme getting ready to cook up a storm.....

Natalie and daughters with new aprons...Where's Neil's?

Brittany asked if I would put on a couple of new pictures. Especially Hazel legs. We are so proud!

ARIZONA SKOUSEN TIME

I had the best time with Brittany and her family. I loved every minute with the kids. They were so loving and fun. And the weather was beautiful. I hated going back to snow. I love this little family so much.
Reagan gets spoiled in the shower. They even wash his feet in a little bucket. These girls are so good to him. I love hearing the giggles from outside of the shower.
Jessie is growing up so fast. It is hard to believe she can read and spell. And what a great helper she is to her mom. I don't think Brittany could ever get along without her. I love her deep, little voice and how smart and good she is. I miss her already.

I loved this playground at the mall. No sharp edges and the kids could jump from animal to animal. Sabrina Belle hardly ever holds still, so I did get a semi good picture of her. She is a little gymnast!

Katrina is so happy and so dramatic. I love her crocodile tears. She is so sweet and cuddly.

Reagan is such a beautiful child. He is so much fun and has such sparkling eyes. He wants to do everything the girls do. And wait a year and he will be able to "take down" Sabrina Belle.

Only Ben could get these four active kids on his back. They really like roughing their dad up. They are so much fun. And I bet these girls could take on anyone. They are tough!

MORE PICS FOR MY FAMILY

This is why I am blessed. What a beautiful family I have. Just try to take baby Hazy away from Emme and pull back a bloody stump! Thank you all for a very Merry Christmas.
Snow White Scout (with heels) and her prince charming Bobby J.

It looks like Emme is on the pathway to reading already. Cute little sucker.

Could Lila be any prouder of her baby sister. What a great Christmas for them.

This will be a classic. Grampa Neil's hand with Baby Hazel feet. I am always amazed how big his hands are, and how they never change. They have held alot of babies!

MERRY CHRISTMAS 2010

Lila was the only one who was careful opening the gifts. She has such a sweet heart.

My Minnie Mouse holding her Minnie Mouse. What a sweetheart, Emme.

The double Barbie house! It is a big hit. It's all they wanted to play.

Christmas morning, Lila and Emme attempting to wake up their dad. He must have busy the night before! Just a few of the cute pictures we got Christmas morning. It was so much fun watching little faces on Christmas morn!

OUR ARIZONA SURPRISE FOR BRITTANY

One Friday night, Natalie called and was saying how she missed Brittany and her family. We decided the next morning to drive all the way to Tempe, Arizona for a surprise visit. We told Neil and Josh, and no one else, packed up and drove all day. That night in the dark and middle of the desert, the GPS said "you are at your destination" but we didn't believe it. There were no lights to be seen. So we turned around and found a place in Boulder City. The next day we arrived about 4 pm and put baby Hazel on Britt's doorstep and hid. When she opened the door, we hid in the bushes, and yelled "surprise." I think we really did trick her. We had such a fun time with her and her family. And the little cousins had a blast. We may never do that again, but it felt so right to do it this time. Natalie and I are just little tricksters.
Lila and Katrina loved to play so much. What beautiful, little girls. Here we are waiting for our food and they just squeezed each other. I was amazed how good the kids were for being in the car so long. They were perfect.

Can you believe this weather! We left the cold and snowy and came to 70 degrees. It was beautiful. We didn't want to leave. The kids had so much fun with each other. They love their cousins.

I loved this park by Brittanys house. The kids had so much fun.

Reagan is growing up so fast. He is 14 months but seems like a 2 year old. He loved baby Hazel and tried to show her quiet affection. I think he could be dominated by sisters! Poor boy!

Yes, it was a surprise, but Brittany said it was her best surprise ever! So that was worth it!

YOU KNOW.......

You know you've seen lazy when your 4 year old grand-daughter can suck her favorite stuffing through a straw, but won't chew the meatloaf in her mouth, and keeps it on her tongue all meal long, because it is too much effort to chew it.

You know you have issues when all you want to do is kiss on 2 1/2 month old Hazel because her mother has broken her will to fight back.

You know you are blessed when your 6 year old grandson asks to watch "Les Miserable" dvd, and when you ask him why he wants to see it, he says, "Because it is God music."

You know you have really lost it when you accept kisses with snot on them, just to get a kiss from a sweet little girl. You know......

LEGO DAY AT GRANDMAS

The cameraman (or woman) is having trouble but couldn't resist these cute faces that I love. Legos are our new hobby at grandmas. And Atticus can beat me hands down. It makes me so happy to see them so happy.

Both Atticus and Scout had a good time today. He is so serious and she is so funny.

Even Scout got in on the Lego building and didn't do too badly. Of course, she had to have her own to work on. We have to be careful, cause she eats the guns, just to bug her brother.

I haven't had pictures in some time. And now you know why. These aren't the best pictures, but my heart is in it. Atticus is getting into Lego land, and I am amazed how well he does it. He loves it and doesn't even take a break for eating!
